With the COVID-19 pandemic having entered its second year, researchers across the globe are racing to develop technologies to stop further spread of the potentially deadly virus. Professor Beomjoon Kim of the Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo is no exception: He is applying his research on microneedles to easy-to-use, safe, rapid and cheaper approaches to antigen/antibody testing and vaccine delivery.
